Who we are

Wellness Appt ("we", "us", "our") is a wellness appointment discovery service that surfaces real-time availability from health and wellness practitioners across Canada. We are based in British Columbia, Canada.

Information we collect

We collect minimal information to operate the service:

• Search queries — service type, date, time preference, and location you select when searching.
• Click and usage data — which results you view and which booking links you follow, collected via analytics.
• Email address — only if you voluntarily join our provider or patient waitlist.
• Approximate location — if you grant browser geolocation permission, used solely to sort results by distance. We do not store precise coordinates.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require user accounts or passwords.
• We do not collect or store any patient health information, medical records, or appointment details.
• We do not process payments or collect financial information.
• We do not track you across other websites.

How we use your information

• To display relevant search results based on your query.
• To improve the service through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
• To contact you about the waitlist, if you opted in.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — for anonymous usage analytics. Google may set cookies on your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Jane App — when you click a booking link, you are redirected to the practitioner's own Jane App booking page. Jane App's privacy policy governs your interaction with their platform.
• Vercel — our hosting provider. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We use cookies only for analytics purposes via Google Analytics (GA4). These cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use a browser extension to block analytics tracking. The core search functionality does not require cookies.

Data retention and deletion

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). Waitlist email addresses are retained until you request removal. Search queries are not stored in any personally identifiable form. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the address below.

PIPEDA compliance

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
